In Memory of Karen Sarvel

Karen was a blessing to Prince of Peace Academy. She eagerly volunteered in the classroom by helping the younger students hone their reading skills. She was known and loved by them. Only a few weeks ago she related how deeply they touched her heart when they sent her get well cards. She loved working with the students.

Thank you, Lord, for people who dedicate their time and talent to Your works.

Karen also volunteered many hours of time folding letters, preparing for fundraisers, and enjoying the school concerts and musicals; all the while buoyed by her steady eyes and smile, ready to tell a story, to laugh and to share her life with us.

Monte said it well, "Karen was a unique individual, a one of a kind." Yes, she was.

Thank you, Lord, for people such as Karen in this world.

Karen, we will see you in the future, where there will be smiles and hugs and stories once again.

In Memory of Wayne Coburn

Prince of Peace Academy honors the memory of Mr. Wayne Coburn. Most of our student body had Mr. Wayne Coburn as their teacher or as their coach. Wayne was a fantastic, Christ-centered role model for the students, peaceful, upright in God's word, gentle yet strong in leadership, outreaching in Spirit and joyous at heart.

We miss Mr. Coburn immensely and pray that God comforts the Coburn family and all who grieve for him. We pray all who knew him may rejoice in Wayne Coburn's life, be uplifted by the multitude of students he inspired, and find solice in his walk with the Lord.
